Goal
Using combo agent (xIPnex), produce a utility patent application in ~30 minutes, including:
- Claims (1 independent + ≥3 dependents)
- Specification
- Abstract
- One normalized drawing
Prerequisites
- A disclosure (DOCX or PDF, ≥5 pages), or
- The bundled sample disclosure (scheme: intelligent water-cup temperature control)
Steps
Step 1 — Create a session (~1 minute)
- Sign in → Dashboard → Create Combo
- Name:

Step 2 — Invoke the skill (~5 minutes)
In the session input:
The system will:
- Parse the disclosure and isolate the inventive concept
- Build a structured technical picture
- Present modeling output for your confirmation
Step 3 — Confirm the technical picture (~5 minutes)
Example output shape:
Review and confirm. If wrong, say in natural language: “the inventive point should emphasize …”.
Step 4 — Generate claims and spec (~10 minutes)
After confirmation the system drafts:
- Independent claim spanning necessary features
- Five dependent claims (layered)
- Full specification (background, disclosure, embodiments)
- Abstract
Along the way the agent may ask:
- Extend to method claims?
- Two or three embodiments?
- How many drawings?
Step 5 — Normalize the drawing (~5 minutes)
Upload a hand sketch or CAD export, then run:
Numerals propagate into the specification.
Step 6 — Export (~2 minutes)
